ADO journaal has produced a moving and special tribute to the late Marcel Hamer who died from cancer last week. This video is in Dutch but you can feel the emotion in it.
Again this shows what amazing fans ADO Den Haag have got and how they care for their fellow supporters and their families. I have watched football live for 35 years and have never seen so much respect within a supporters group. They support familes of the bereaved and dying when and how they can. The supporters of ADO Den Haag really are an amazing set of fans.

ADO ladies fell to their third successive defeat at home to PEC Zwolle on Friday night.
ADO were the stronger team in the first half but went into the half-time break at 1-1.
Second half Zwolle got themselves better motivated. The game looked to be heading for a 1-1 draw, only for ADO to concede two goals late into injury time, leaving the players shocked and hurt.

On Sunday ADO men return to action away to PEC Zwolle, kick-off at 14.30. The game is useful for ADO as the pitch at Zwolle is artificial. ADO’s next home game on the 26th against FC Twente will be the first to be played on ADO’s new artificial surface, so a good preparation for the team.

ADO ladies suffered a heavy defeat away to the top Belgium side Standard Liege. 2-1 down at half didn’t look too bad, unfortunately Standard ran out 6-1 winners.
Good news to come from this game was the return of Lineth Beerensteyn who was on the substitute bench, she had been out all season so far with injury.

Tomorrow ADO ladies travel away to Standard Liege in Belgium. Normally games in Belgium are played on a Friday night at 20.30. However this match has been arranged for Saturday with a kick-off time of 15.00.
Standard are the top team in the Belgian half of the BeNe league and will be a tough challenge for our ladies team. Hopefully ADO can bounce back from last Friday’s defeat at home to Telstar.
On Thursday, ADO Den Haag played at HBS as a part of the amateur club’s jubilee celebrations.
ADO Den Haag were 0-4 up at half time. The final score ended up as 1-4. A good work out in wet conditions for ADO during the international break.
Times and scorers: 6. Meijers 0-1, 8. Gouriye 0-2, 29. Alberg 0-3, 45. Kramer 0-4, 56. Westdijk 1-4
Next week work will start on laying artificial turf at the Kyocera stadium in The Hague. The construction will take about two weeks. The laying of the artificial turf is earlier than planned, but has been done so to avoid anymore postponements due to the condition of the present pitch for the rest of the league season.
It was already decided last Summer that an artificial pitch would be used in the 2014-2015 football season. This has now been brought forward because the temporary turf could not handle the recent heavy rain conditions in September The field did not comply with the requirements of the KNVB (Dutch football association)
If all goes to plan, the stadium will be ready for ADO’s next planned home fixture on October 26th against FC Twente.
