Finally recognition for two of ADO ladies best players

Finally and after much head scratching by those who know anything about the ladies football team at ADO Den Haag, two of their best players have been recognised for their superb abilities. The Dutch manager Roger Reijners said the pair may train with the Dutch national team , which is preparing for the World Cup qualifying match against Greece, next Saturday in Rotterdam.

ADO’s number one, Barbara Lorsheyd has not previously called up for the Dutch national team . But she has played a total of nine times for Orange Under 17’s and Under 19’s.  The last time was on September 24, 2009 during the Under 19 European Championship  qualifier against Poland (1-1). In those nine games they conceded four goals against and kept five clean sheets.

Renate Jansen, ADO’s dangerous and lightning quick paced centre forward has also got the invite. She has already been called up four times for the first team. The last time was on August 15 2010, a friendly against Ireland (2-0 win) . Before that she played all six games for the Under 19’s. Her only goal in the orange shirt was on March 11, 2009 . During the ten Nation tournament in La Manga, Spain.

It is really great to see these great players get the recognition they eserve, should have hapened 18 months ago at least.
