Basic Fit extend ADO sponsorship

On Blue Monday as January 20th 2014 was billed this year, the largest sponsor of ADO Den Haag renewed its contract. For at least one more year, Basic Fit name will continue to adorn the chests of the Hague players after this summer. The contract also includes an option for two more seasons.

On behalf of Basic Fit, John Verhouden, International Sales & Marketing Manager of the chain fitness clubs signed the agreement. Blue Monday for him was not a depressing day he told the press, all the players of ADO Den Haag and the office staff of the club. He saw this day more like “Orange Monday”, referring to the Basic Fit colours. The collaboration with ADO Den Haag and the reputation that has grown between them left everybody Clearly satisfied.

Piet Jansen, Managing Director of ADO Den Haag and host of the afternoon: “Sporting wise we may be going go through tough times, we must keep our minds set and nurture collaborations like this together so we can continue to grow. We do this of course with many other, especially with Basic Fit as our main sponsor. The confidence expressed in this early extension makes us very happy and we’re positive about the future together.”

25th Friendship anniversary ADO & Juventus

On November 23, 1988 some FC Den Haag fans, with a penchant for the “Old Lady” Juventus, went to Liège for the UEFA Cup match between Club Liege and Juventus ( 0-1 ) . Contacts were made with several Italian fans which resulted in an invitation to the Hague supporters tournament in 1989.

A close friendship with many Hague football fans now exists and they are invited to  Juventus matches in Italy or elsewhere in Europe. Juventus fans also regularly come to Holland to attend games and participate well in the crowd.

Some memorable moments from the past 25 years:
• visits to several championship matches of Juventus
• Derbies against Torino and against their great rival Fiorentina
• San Siro for away games against Inter Milan and AC Milan
• Final Coppa Italia against Napoli in Rome 2012
• European trips to : Dortmund ( Mario vd Ende looked a little surprised by the presence of all those fans Hague ), Manchester, Copenhagen, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Bordeaux, Celtic Glasgow, 31 minutes in Istanbul ( discontinued due to snow) and many more
• Decisive playoff matches against Heracles where the Italians had to get used to the black and white shirts of Heracles.
• Many home games ADO Den Haag in Zuiderpark and Forepark .
• Champions League finals in Rome, Munich, Amsterdam and Manchester. The highlight being in Rome. Juventus won on penalties against Ajax. 35 Hague football fans were present and had a memorable evening .
• The banner of the deceased Hague supporter Marcel Hammer also hung in the next match of Juventus with them in their stadium at the CL game against Real Madrid .

In 2014 we celebrate the friendship for 25 years and on Saturday there will be about 100 Italian fans crowding the stands together with their Dutch friends to watch the match. Against Feyenoord

Obviously, Fansupport and the Midden Noordwill again provide a great atmosphere in which  ADO Den Haag has given their cooperation..

Heartbreak for ADO ladies

ADO ladies began 2014 with a home defeat to Belgian side RSC Anderlecht.

The game looked to be heading for a goalless draw, until in the fourth minute of second half injury time when Lola Wajnblum got the last gasp winner. The goal was not clearly fully over the line, but the match officials awarded the goal much to ADO’s disappointment.
