This time next week ADO fans tournament

Next Saturday 21st June 2014, the supporters of ADO Den Haag will hold their annual fans football tournament. Each year this tournament has grown into a festival of football and laughs. The friendship ADO fans have with different clubs from around Europe is growing year by year. This time around, supporters teams are coming from Juventus, Legia Warsaw, Club Brugge, Sparta Rotterdam and sc Veendam.

Last year, despite the heavy rain a big crowd gathered to watch the event which will again this year be held at the ground of top non league side vvHaagalandia, which is situated at Schaapweg 2, 2285 SP Rijswijk. It is free to go along and watch.

Fan favourite Marleen Joore leaves ADO ladies

Marleen Joore is leaving ADO ladies. A fighter on the pitch, a real character off it. A joy to be around and one for keeping the fun going amongst the team. Loved her no nonsense battling style that accompanied real skill.

The fans adored her and was always wanted for photos and autographs, a real great lady who we will all miss. Wishing her much success for the future.

Farewell to Lisanne

ADO ladies powerhouse forward Lisanne Grimberg has left the club. She had two successful spells at ADO, Taking a break to concentrate on her studies.

A player I admired. Never shirking a tackle, brushing aside many bruising tackles with no complaints, something male players could learn from. A real strong minded player full of ability. Wishing her all the future success she deserves.

Captain fantastic leaves ADO ladies

ADO ladies long serving player and club captain is leaving the club. She always lead by example, always got stuck into a challenge, a real tough competitor and fighter, loved watching her play.

Off the pitch she was full of joy and laughter and was always at the centre of mischief, a really much loved member of the ADO squad. She is leaving football to concentrate on her future career. I wish her all the luck in the world, top player, top lady!

Good bye Super Keeper

It was sad to hear the news that ADO’s super keeper barbara Lorsheyd is to leave the club. For many years she has been the last line of defence. A great lady with a huge passion for football. Barbara was also the first winner of the ADOforExpats player of the season award.

It is such a shame that the Dutch national side took so long to give her the recognition she deserves, finally breaking into the squad last season. She is in discussion with other clubs, so uncertain future right now. I wish her all the vewry best, she has really been one of ADO’s best ever players.

Farewell Mandy van Dijk

Mandy van Dijk has left ADO at the end of the season. An injury cut last season short for her. A quiet and intelligent youngster who is sure to have a bright future in the game. Wish her all the best in the future at Ter Leede.

Another signing for ADO ladies

ADO ladies are really being very busy during the early period of the closed season. Today it has been announced that yet another new experienced player is joining the club.

Judith Frijlink joins the squad on June 30th in order to prepare for the upcoming season. Frijlink comes from PEC Zwolle, where she played football since 2010. The 24 year old Frijlink was born in Zwolle and has played for among others VSW, Be Quick ’28, Heerenveen and PEC Zwolle.

“Judith is an offensively minded player who already has a lot of experience at this level. She can hold the ball, has a good shot and can score goals, says  head coach Sarina Wiegman”
The experienced attacker says it makes sense to join the club in The hague. “I hope at ADO Den Haag to enjoy the game again, I want to give the maximum possible out of myself. I also hope to be a permanent fixture in the team for a long time to come. With the team at the top of the League BeNe I really look forward to this new challenge!”
