Lisanne Grimberg returns to ADO ladies

Lisanne Grimberg Grimberg will once again be part of the ADO Den Haag ladies squad for the 2015/2016 season . The 22-year-old forward returns in the Kyocera Stadium after a year away due to her study and training obligations abroad.

In the 2008/2009 season Grimberg joined ADO ladies at the age of 15 as a young talent. From the beginning she was a regular first team player and she remained for four seasons. So she was part of the famous team that in the 2011/2012 season was both champions and KNVB Cup winners. In 2012/2013 the striker left because of her studies and so to continue playing, she joined Ter Leede. In 2013/2014 Lisanne came back to ADO and was again a permanant fixture in the first team. She played 23 official matches that season (22 in the league and one in the KNVB Cup), she scored eleven and had twelve assists. In total for ADO ladies Lisanne Grimberg has in 114 games scored 57 goals with 49 assists..

Lisanne looks forward with enthusiasm to the new season: ” I’m really looking forward to the new season. After several years of having to combine football and study, I chose last year to study. It has been a wonderful experience to have lived in three different countries and focus entirely on my study. Now I want to go all out with the football. With the experience I have gained over time and with my experience in previous seasons for ADO I hope to make a positive contribution towards achieving the objectives of ADO ladies. I’m excited!”

It is really good to see Lisanne back at ADO ladies. A really talented player and a tough fighter for the ball that frightens most defenders. Welcome back Lisanne!

ADO’s first day of training

The ADO CEO Jan Willem Wigt.has released the following communication.

The new season is about to begin. Next Monday sees the start of the preparations for the squad. The first field training is scheduled for Friday 26th June, starting at 14:30.

The last time we played at home, prior to the last league match against PSV there was an accident involving our fireworks which damaged tthe pitch. The employees of the municipality and the supplier of artificial turf have performed brilliantly. The KNVB has since announced that the field has been approved for next season. Naturally, it is in the greatest importance that the field of the club remains undamaged. All fans are welcome at the first practice.

On behalf of the club we want to make a very explicit request for the letting off any fireworks around the training! Setting off fireworks will not be tolerated. Any new damage to the pitch will bring our beautiful club a lot of serious trouble.

As always we count on your passion and support.

ADO ladies busy again with signings

The ADO ladies team are continuing with their recruiting for next season with a new signing and extending the contract of the number one keeper.

The ADO keeper Jennifer Vreugdenhil has extended her contract for another two years at ADO Den Haag Women, keeping her there until mid 2017.

The 20-year-old star came to ADO in the summer of 2011 as back up to Barbara Lorsheyd and has now become the number one.

Jennifer is very pleased with the new contract: “Since I am 16 years I have been playing at ADO ladies. ADO has really become my club. I’ve had ups and downs in four years, but I come every day with a smile on my face to training. In addition, I have made a lot of friends in four years. It is very nice to have a two-year contract offered to me, to stay at the club where you’ve been playing for four seasons witha lot of pleasure.”

ADO ladies have also added a new striker to their squad,

Marthe van Erk will come to the ADO ladies team for the 2015/2016 season. The 19-year-old attacker joins ADO from CTO Eindhoven. At CTO Marthe was an indispensable force, alongside her nine goals and numerous assists this season, she was awarded the captain’s armband. Marthe played by the bous team of VV Zundert, until her move to CTO. Also Marthe van Erk is playing for the Dutch national teams at the following levels, under 15, 17 and 19’s.

Marthe van Erk comes to ADO ladies to further develop as a football player, “I’m happy I have made the switch from CTO Eindhoven to the Eredivisie Women’s league. I have a good feeling at ADO Den Haag Women and here I get the opportunity to further develop. For next season I hope to be getting a lot of playing time.”

Concept fixtures 2015/2016

Today the KNVB have released their concept fixture list. These will now be looked at by the clubs, police and local councils to ensure any fixture does not clash with any other major events in a host town or city. The final set fixtures should be announced within ten days. Last season none of ADO’s fixtures were changed from the concept listing.

If this list turns out to be for real, a great opening four fixtures to make your mouths water.

Do remember, this is a concept list only, DO NOT book any early flights to ADO games if coming from overseas until fixtures are confirmed!!
