Mike Havenaar has been named in the preliminary squad of the Japanese national team. The recent performances of the tall ADO Den Haag striker has not gone unnoticed in his homeland. Havenaar has scored seven goals in his first nine games for ADO Den Haag.
Next week the national coach Vahid Halilhodžić will name his final squad. Japan play on November 12th in a World Cup qualifier against Singapore and on November 17th against Cambodia. Mike Havenaar played his last international match on October 15, 2013 against Belarus. He scored four goals for Japan.
