On Friday evening ADO ladies played away at FC Twente and sad to say returned with no points.
ADO didn’t have much luck during the game. In the fourteenth minute FC Twente were awarded a penalty after a handball by Mijke Roelfsema inside the area, which resulted in a red card for her. The resulting spot kick was converted by Maud Roetgering, 1-0.
ADO fell further behind after thirty fourth minute. Ellen Jansen scoring a header giving the hosts a comfortable lead, 2-0.
Despite being two goals down ADO did have their chances, it certainly wasn’t all one way traffic, just wasn’t their night in front of goal.
The second half saw the home side increase their lead. Hélène Heemskerk took out Shanice van de Sanden inside the area. Another penalty awarded to and converted by Roetgering in the fifty fourth minute, 3-0.
The heads of the ADO side didn’t drop and they still created chances and got their consolation goal in the eighty seventh minute when Yvette van der Veen scored a cracking long range effort, 3-1.
There are two games remaining this year, both at home on the next to Friday nights, kick-offs 19:30, against PSV on the 11th and then sc Heerenveen on the 18th.
