ADO this weekend

This coming weekend sees both the ADO men and ladies in action. The ADO men make the short trip to Rotterdam to take on Feyenoord. After Wednesday’s performance, it is great that ADO have sold out their 850 ticket allocation, so good backing is going to be very important.

After a long winters stop, ADO ladies retiurn to action on Friday night with a game against big rivals, Ajax of Amsterdam. Will be very interesting to see how ADO start the second half of the season.

Kyocera Stadion Best Event Venue in Netherlands!

After a campaign of about three months, the Kyocera Stadium has officially been named as the best event venue in the Netherlands! The trade magazine “Meetings” nominated the Kyocera Stadium because of its good access, great parking, service and its unique character.

In late November, The Hospitality & Events team already won the regional title on hold because of the leading position in the intermediate ranking. In the month of December there is, thanks to the many events that took place there, still collected many votes. Besides that the supporters of ADO Den Haag made a major contribution to the achievement of this award by helping the campaign and frequently voicing their approval of the Kyocera Stadion over the other nominees such as The Hague Louwman Museum, Kasteel (Sparta Rotterdam) and the Abe Lenstra Stadion.

The team of Hospitality & Events Kyocera Stadion is extremely proud of this great prize and sees this as an icing on the cake after the first three successful years with many great and big events.

In 2012 the NV ADO Den Haag founded the subsidiary in order to keep the organization of events and catering in the Kyocera Stadium in their own hands and to flow the proceeds to the club. This has been proved successful due to this industry award’s recognition.

ADO’s Kastaneer on loan to FC Eindhoven

Gervane Kastaneer will be playing his football until the end of the season at FC Eindhoven. The club from the Jupiler League hires him until the end of the 2015-2016 season from ADO Den Haag. The talented forward came in July 2013 from FC Dordrecht and played several youth internationals for Holland Under 19’s and 20’s. Kastaneer is under contract with ADO Den Haag until July 2017, up to now he has played in 14 matches in the first team. On April 12 2015 he scored his first official goal in the home game against FC Utrecht.

John Metgod, Technical Manager at ADO Den Haag, welcomed the agreement: “At FC Eindhoven Gervane gets the chance to develop himself at a club that has been active at the top of the Jupiler League. In this way he will get the chance to play more games. This for a player of his age is extremely important, and therefore important for ADO Den Haag.”

Everybody wishes Gervane in the coming six months a lot of success and look forward to seeing him again in the new season.

ADO identify suspects of racist chanting

ADO Den Haag has to date identified 22 individuals who were guilty of insulting and discriminatory chanting at Sunday’s clash between ADO Den Haag and Ajax . These are the first results of a study launched on Monday. This research resulted in the first instance, a perpetrator group of between 20-30 people, of which 22 have now  been identified. The advanced video surveillance equipment at ADO Den Haag that has been in operation for a number of years has once again allowed the rapid identification.

The 22 perpetrators with immediate effect will be banned from the stadium for an indefinite period until the time they will be given final sentencing by ADO Den Haag or the KNVB. These individuals are now prohibited from attending games home and away involving ADO Den Haag. The perpetrators have been written to about the sanctions. With this letter, the identified persons are also informed of the intention of ADO Den Haag to recover any financial loss suffered by the perpetrators.

Early next week a delegation from the KNVB will visit the Kyocera Stadium to take note of the results. ADO Den Haag will also start next week present the research results at the request of the Public Prosecutor. The prosecution will assess whether the results indicate sufficient grounds for a criminal prosecution.
