ADO games this weekend

This weekend ADO Den Haag will be hosting FC Utrecht on Sunday afternoon, with a 12:30 kick-off. This is a game in which they have to produce a good performance and get the three points to help cover up all this weeks bad news and reviews about the club.

On Friday night, ADO ladies travel away to face new ladies team Achilles ’29. It should be a win for our ladies as confidence is high and performances have been good.

Season/Club card holders extra tickets for FC Utrecht game

This Sunday ADO Den Haag face FC Utrecht in the Kyocera stadium at 12.30. This is an important game for the home side. After a run of bad results, ADO have dropped alarmingly down the league table. So three points against the team currently in seventh place is vital.

Season ticket and Club Card holders can for the first time purchase not two, but four tickets for this game. So bring your friends and family with you. The players really need the backing of a large support to get them going in this important fixture.

Eurofit ADO played Eurofit PSV

On Saturday, November 26th before the Eredivisie match between PSV and ADO Den Haag the Eurofit members of both clubs used the occasion to join forces. Prior to the big match PSV Eurofit took on ADO Eurofit in the form of a game of Walking Football! The game was played at the Herdgang, which is part of PSV’s.

Both groups are approximately in their fourth week of their Eurofit program and are working hard to improve their lifestyle through exercise and to eat healthier. The differences in the pitch are that it is much smaller and the goals are tiny. The games were played in a jovial atmosphere, lots of laughing and joking. After 3 x 20 minutes were played, it was time to relax together and go for something to eat in the center of Eindhoven before heading off together to watch the big game in the Philips stadium. All in all it was a very successful day which certainly for the participants means they have the incentive to continue. Next year when ADO Den Haag host PSV later this season, a rematch will take place!

ADO this weekend

On Saturday ADO Den Haag will face the difficult task of taking on PSV Eindhoven in their own Philips stadium.

Again this week it has been widely reported in the media about the unrest surrounding the club situation, both on and off the pitch. A good performance is needed to quieten these stories.

ADO ladies win friendly with ease

On Tuesday afternoon, a mix of ADO ladies and their young team took on a selection from CTO Amsterdam / Eindhoven and players from the Dutch under 19 team.

Considering this was a friendly, the first half hour was played at a great tempo. Lots of action, rare in these type of games. Marthe van Erk had a great game, scoring a hat-trick. The first coming in the fourteenth minute from the penalty spot, 1-0.

ADO were dominant and rarely did the visitors get anywhere near the ADO goal. The game eventually slowed down, ADO still creating chances, but the defenders were doing well to block what ADO fired at them. With five minutes remaining, ADO let their concentration lapse, long enough for  Silvie van der Plas to make it 1-1.

The second half was same as the end of the first, slow and not much aggression being shown. That all changed in the sixty second minute when ADO scored, again from van Erk, 2-1. This ignited the game back to life.

In the sixty eighth minute van Erk claimed her hat-trick. In a one on one with the keeper, she kept her cool and easily slotted the ball home, 3-1. This was all looking so easy for ADO. Yet in the eighty second minute ADO conceded a soft goal. A long range shot by Vera at Westeind, not hit with any power, went through Isa Pothof into the net, 3-2.

The game got a bit tense, but in the final seconds ADO were awarded a penalty. Nance van der Meer took the kick, sadly ball didn’t hit back of the net. The ball came back out, and in a melee of shots and blocks, Eline Koster managed to get the ball across the line, 4-2.

Scorers: 14. Marthe van Erk 1-0 (penalty) 39. Silvie van der Plas 1-1, 62. Marthe van Erk 2-1, 68. Marthe van Erk 3-1, 82. Vera at Westeind 3-2 90. Eline Koster 4-2.
