How does it work?

After the first period of twenty one games, the eight competing teams are split into two pools of Four. The top four and the bottom four. ADO ladies are in the top group of four challenging for the title.

The points earned during the first twenty one games will be halved. If the division ends for example as 11.5 points, it will be rounded up to 12 points. The goal difference will start again at zero.

The team in the play-offs with the most points earned will become the Women’s Eredivisie champion of the 2016/2017 season. Further, if two or more teams with the same number of match points qualify for the title, The team that had no rounding up of points will be declared the champion of the Eredivisie Women.

Goal difference

If there is no difference in points, then the goal difference in the play-offs is calculated. If  goal difference is equal, then the number of goals “for” becomes decisive. If the teams can still not be split,  then the total results of the first two games played in the prior twenty one games competition will be decisive, Away goal counting as double scored goals. If the are then still level on points and goals,  a deciding game will be played to find the CHAMPION!
