ADO Den Haag completed their first day of the club’s summer training camp in Renesse with another easy victory, this time over amateur VV Serooskerke.
Before the kick-off a minutes silence was observed for the sad passing away of former ADO ladies player Sylvia Nooij, a touching moment.
ADO took the first half with ease. Goals from Sheraldo Becker in the eighth minute. Ludcinio Marengo doubled ADO’s lead in the twenty eighth minute. Becker scoring again in the forty fourth minute to make it 0-3 at the break.
A few half-time changes didn’t make any difference to ADO’s performance. The fifty fifth minute saw Marengo claim his second and ADO’s fourth. ADO made more changes and continued to apply plenty of pressure. Dennis van der Heijden made it 0-5 in the seventy third minute.
With ten minutes remaining ADO were reduced to ten men on the pitch. After all the possible substitutions had been made, Marengo had to go off with an injury.
ADO continued to go forward and in the eighty fifth minute van der Heijden doubled his goal tally too, 0-6. In the final minute ADO matched their score at SVV Scheveningen, Sam van Huffel making it 0-7. The final whistle blew almost immediately from the restart. A simple win and no goals conceded.
ADO have been scoring goals for fun so far in their pre-season build up. Looks good on paper, but there is no real testing of the players or tactics against the amateur sides. To see how the team are progressing will have to wait until the friendly games at home to MVV Maastricht, 18th July and against De Graafschap on the 22nd July.
