Thijmen Goppel is now allowed to call himself a professional football player for ADO Den Haag. The 20-year-old winger put his signature to a contract on Thursday during the training camp in Belek with a commitment for two and a half years with an option for another season.
Goppel has been part of the match squad of trainer Fons Groenendijk for some time. The resident of Roelofarendsveen made his debut during the away match against VVV Venlo. Goppel started his career in the youth side of Alphense Boys. In 2014, he went to N.E.C. Nijmegen where he was active in their youth programme in a promising team. Last summer he moved to ADO Den Haag to play in their new second team. By signing a contract, Goppel will definitely transfer up to the first team squad of ADO Den Haag.
