COME ON THE HAGUE!!

ADO away on Saturday

After a disappointing week for ADO Den Haag, the disappointing loss to Excelsior own and then shock news that the KNVB had after all, decided to ban central defender Tommie Beugelsdijk for four matches. ADO need to pull themselves together as they take the long journey to face VVV Venlo. Managed by popular former ADO manager Maurice Steijn.

Beugelsdijk banned for four matches

ADO Den Haag must do without Tom Beugelsdijk for the next four games. The defender was suspended for four matches by the committee of appeal of the KNVB yesterday. Beugelsdijk gets the suspension due to an alleged elbow to the face of defender Mari in the final phase of the game at NAC Breda.

Initially, Beugelsdijk and ADO had successfully appealed against the proposed punishment  of four matches. The KNVB disciplinary committee released the defender because the prosecutor was unable to provide the two bits of  evidence to prove their case..

Besides the TV images, there was a strong statement from one of the persons involved.

Beugelsdijk now has to watch from the stands for four matches after Tuesday’s hearing. The public prosecutor called NAC player Mari as a witness. His statement was enough for the Appeals Committee to deem it sufficient for a conviction of Beugelsdijk. For the elbow he gets three matches and an outstanding conditional penalty of a match is added.

Beugelsdijk misses the matches against VVV Venlo, PEC Zwolle, Feyenoord and Heracles Almelo.

ADO games coming up

After the International break, ADO Den Haag return to action with a home game against Excelsior of Rotterdam. ADO have taken 10 points from their last four games. The halves are usually different, the second period usually the more attacking. If they can get the momentum from the start, ADO could see themselves climbing further up the league table.

ADO ladies are starting to play, the young side and now gelling together as a unit. This Friday they travel away to take on sc Heerenveen. This new young ADO team are looking exciting and worth following.
