SVV Scheveningen v ADO

On Wednesday evening ADO Den Haag played their second match of their pre-season build, this time away to SVV Scheveningen. ADO players Lex Immers and Donny Gorter who had recently signed contract were on the field for the first thirty minutes. It was a strong starting line up for ADO to take on the third division side.

The game started well for ADO, in the sixth minute, following a corner, Tommie Beugelsdijk put ADO in front, 0-1. ADO had most of the possession, but Scheveningen were fighting hard in midfield, which made for some tasty challenges.

The Scheveningen keeper, Jesper Leerdam was kept busy, making fine saves from Sheraldo Becker and Beugelsdijk. The home defence stood solid until the forty second minute when Delano Ladan finished off a good move, 0-2.

For the second friendly in a row, ADO put out a totally new team for the second half, and the same as last Saturday’s game, the goals started to flow. Fifty minutes played and Mats van Kins made it 0-3. Seven minutes later it was Chovanie Amatkarijo who applied the delicate touch to guide the ball into the net, 0-4.

The fifth goal was the best of the game, scored in the sixty third minute by Dennis van der Heijden. A free-kick was taken short, the move didn’t work, so the ball was floated across the area where Van der Heijden waited, the ball was perfect and he jumped to do a flying volley from behind him, smashing the ball into the net, 0-5.

Two more goals followed in the sixty seventh minute by Amatkarijo and by Ludcinio Marengo in the seventy second minute to end the scoring at 0-7.

The final fifteen minutes of the game saw ADO very much in control. The youngsters of ADO again looked impressive with their slick passing and forward movement. For me, the stand out players of the youngsters were Mats van Kins and Chovanie Amatkarijo. Players worth watching develop at the club, exciting prospects.
